Getting Started With Outdoor Solar Lighting

Many people have outdoor lights installed at their homes, but it is purely basic and functional.  A well positioned light at the front door, so you can see the keyhole and your visitors,  a light by the back door to enable you to put out the trash…!  With just a little effort and expense your outside can become a whole lot more interesting.

You will be very surprised at the difference a few lights will make around the perimeter of your patio or deck. For the front of your house, how about placing some lights in the shrubbery or flower beds, under a tree or on the tree trunk,or some strings around your porch or fence? The easiest way to start the process is to buy some wireless outdoor solar lighting.

There are so may different varieties you will be spoilt for choice. These are usually cheap to buy, easy to install and almost free to run. A system that has a separate panel and attached wired lights is a good choice as it is generally a bit more powerful, but any kind is going to look good and work well. Decide where you want your lights. This is the main issue.  The panel must get maximum sun hours for charging.

Push them in the soil along the border of a  flower bed or round the edge of a patio. Even separately in pots and tubs is very effective. Ensure they can be seen. Down the end of a garden may be too far to get any immediate benefit,  so keep close to the house to start.  Outdoor solar lighting has come a long way in  development and is now incredibly good at lighting just about anything and keeps the charge for a long time.

Why not try a few outdoor solar lighting sets together. You can move these about as the mood suits you. Favorite lights at present are irridescent color changing globes on sticks.  They are actually very restful and mesmerizing. Very beautiful in fact. They can cost so little (under $50 from Amazon) and you will love them.

If you are not sure what you want or where to start, give outdoor solar lights a try, you will be hooked!.
